~Fire Star~
Misty Rains
Misty
rains fall softly,
the tears slide down my face.
All I can do is think of you,
my heart is a cold empty place.
Your voice haunts me,
as the world around us turns.
All this love I feel for you,
silently grows and burns.
I am the sensitive poet,
I am the brooding moon.
I hope and prey all the time,
that the hurt will leave me soon.
I am the moody sunset,
glowing pale but bright.
You are the hopeful sunrise,
the never fading light.
Yet of these things I feel,
I show not a trace.
As the misty rain falls softly,
and the tears slide down my face.
Upon My Heart
The
shadows play upon my heart
Like the day plays with the night.
I watch her sleep so peacefully,
Yet again I'm filled with fright
Of what a future may be like without her,
My heart would be torn apart
Just as it is each time she leaves
And I know that we must part.
The love I feel inside of me
Is like an inferno which burns
More intensely each time we meet,
And, yet, the world still turns.
Does she return this love?
I think I'll never know
For, if it is, I cannot tell
She doesn't let it show.
The tears fall softly from my eyes
Like misty rains fall from above
For she'll never know the pain inside me
Because it's her that I truly loved
With This Rose
With this rose I give to thee
my hopes, my fears, and my dreams.
And with this rose I promise thee
my love for all time.
You mean everything to me;
you are my heart and my inspiration,
you are my love and my life.
I love you for your kindness,
your gentle touch, and your beautiful smile.
I love you for your tenderness,
because you stand by what you believe in,
and you have a wonderful sense of humor.
You possess the loveliness of an angel
and the love of Juliet.
And with this rose I pledge to thee
to defend you with all my strength,
to support you when you are in need,
to laugh with you in happiness,
to cry with you in sorrow,
and to cherish you for all my life.
I give everything I am to you,
I am yours.
Because with this rose I swear to thee,
upon my honor and my life,
I swear to love you Forever.
Tears
The tears fall gently from my eyes,
as the rains fall from above.
I feel a fear so deep inside
because I've finally found true love.
Tenderly I take your hand in mine,
as we gaze into the sky.
This love we have is like a kind of magic
and it makes me want to fly.
My fears all fade when I'm in your arms,
I know it'll be all right.
Softly, you touch your lips to mine
as we dance into the night.
The future stretches unknown before us,
as dark as deepest night,
but you tell me not to worry;
that our love will be our light.
Hope fills my heart so much
for what tomorrow may hold
Our hearts will keep us forever young;
or at least, that's what I'm told.
The tears stop falling from my eyes,
no more rains fall from above.
The sun shines brightly down
upon our true love
The Fighter
Fighter lowers his sword,
his shoulders slumped in defeat,
the tears in his eyes the proof
that he has lost all hope.
The
demon approaches, bringing with him
Fear, Anger, Pain, and Sorrow.
These are the fighter's only friends now,
Them and the demon.
The
fighter raises his sword,
the blade which had once shown with silver light
now gleamed with a deep black darkness
reflecting the twisting of his soul.
The
fighter and the demon race side by side
into the night, into the evil they created,
when suddenly it starts, first like a star, then like a sun
the Angel descends from Heaven.
Slowly
she comes over to the fighter,
she takes his hand in hers gently, but firmly,
singing about love, tenderness, and joy.
"Forever," she whispered.
She
starts to pull him toward the light,
but the demon refuses to let go of his prize.
Slowly they start to tear him apart,
the scream he releases will force both to move away.
The
fighter falls to his knees, confused and afraid,
then he rises to his feet
and starts to walk toward the darkness.
The demon laughs while the Angel weeps.
She
starts again toward the light. Alone.
The sorrow in her heart and the tears in her eyes
prove to be too much for her.
She stumbles and starts to fall.
But the
fighter catches her.
"I'll not let you fall," he tells her.
There are tears in his eyes again.
These tears are filled with love and happiness, though.
"Forever," he tells her.
The Falling of the Snowflakes
As I watch the snowflakes fall
and cover the ground with white
I'm reminded of my love, of you,
my heart, my soul, and my life.
The snowflakes remind me of how I love you,
the eight reasons you hold my heart,
just as the snowflakes have eight sides.
Your sense of humor
which brightens my day
though it may not always seem so.
Your gentle ways:
the way you hold me as I cry
and tell me it will be all right.
Your strength.
You stand for what you believe in,
no matter what the price.
Your purity of heart.
You couldn't lie if you wanted to,
and wouldn't if you could.
Your courage.
Though you may face unbeatable odds,
you stand your ground until the end.
Your intelligence.
You can hold an intelligent conversation
and are destined for great things.
You playfulness.
You're almost always playful and full of life,
and, of course, ready for fun.
Your beauty
which makes the stars pale in comparison
and makes the rose seem just a flower.
And lastly, our love reminds me of snow
because it's pure and beautiful and perfect.
As I sit and I watch the snow, I must smile
because I have you.
My One True Friend
You've been there since the beginning,
and you'll be there till the end.
You genuinely have the largest of hearts,
you are my one true friend.
You followed me into the darkness,
when no one else would.
You showed me how to look for the light,
when no one else could.
You were there when my life was shattered,
and my heart was torn apart.
You came to me and cheered me up,
or at least tried with all your heart.
you taught me about honor and loyalty,
in a world as cold as ice.
You showed me that I have the courage and bravery,
I needed to fight for life.
You've been there through good times and bad,
you've been there through heaven and hell.
What new challenges will we face together?
Only time will tell.
I have one last thing too say to you,
before this poem must end.
I will always be there for you,
because you are my one true friend.
