Tear Stained Eyes

Pain it shines upon her
A cheek that bares her tears
A darkened heart that shows no light
But clearly shows her fears.

Her eyes show all the sadness
She sits and wonders why
That love has passed her by again
Without a chance to try.

Alone she lies and shivers
In a world but dark and cold
Dreaming now what she wants most
A love that she can hold.
